I believe my father died in peace thinking that his last wishes would be carried out. But after he died, we discovered that the changes Locher made didn't have to be followed and didn't have to be enforced like my dad wanted.
NOTE: I was forced to revise my ORIGINAL review because Mr. Locher has threatened to sue me if I did not modify or delete the original review.
Funny. I guess when you a good at your job and the people who are on the losing end of you being good at your job get angry, they come online and complain. Don't buy it for a minute. I have enjoyed the services of Todd Locher as an attorney for 20 years and he is simply excellent. He knows is stuff cold and, is fast and efficient and super personable. When I go in with tax questions that have my head spinning, Todd explains it very easily ands solves it like it was not an issue at all. Getting my taxes done each year is actually a pleasant experience. I'd trust Todd with literally anything and have done so for years, in my business and my personal holdings. You can too. There are few things I could say with my confidence.
We've consulted other attorneys about what happened and how this situation transpired, and they agreed that Locher should have informed my father that the changes made wouldn't be enforceable after his death. These attorneys told us that what Locher did was "borderline" malpractice. I believe that if my father had been fully informed of the consequences by a COMPETENT attorney, he would have protected his assets in a different manner. It was Locher's LEGAL OBLIGATION as my dad's attorney to protect my father's wishes and ensure that the changes to his Will were enforceable after his death...and Locher failed to do so.
Thank you so much for being ultra professional and figuring out quickly where I went wrong in preparing my mom's taxes and how to make it right in the future. Very smart man, explained everything and didn't make me feel dumb in the process! I will certainly use him again for any legal/financial needs.
I would NOT recommend hiring Mr. Locher for anything. In my father’s case he did NOT have his client's best interest at heart.
Two days before my dad passed away, Mr. Locher made changes to my father's Will at my father’s request. My dad thought that the changes Mr. Locher made would be enforceable and that the heirs would have to abide by his wishes and the changes that were made to his Will when he passed away. Locher didn’t tell my dying father that the changes he made to his Will were worthless the minute my father died.
I am not happy with the way Mr. Locher handled a very important family matter and feel that he was negligent and didn't fulfill his duty as a legal professional to protect my father's interests/assets and ensure that the changes he made to my father’s Will would be legally enforceable after my father passed away. Here's what happened...

My experience with this firm is they are NOT looking out for your best interests but rather looking to see how deep into your pockets they can reach.
The best legal advice: "Buyer Beware!" It pays to shop around. You don't need or want a wishy-washy attorney who can't look you in the eye and tell you how things are going to proceed or how much it will cost you. You want straight forward answers. options and costs, something not available here.
